I've put together a collection of various recordings I have engineered, mixed and produced using my location recording studio

In order to capture a warm vintage sound, I use specialised ribbon microphones (through Fet-head pre amps) that have been optimised for digital recording. Supplied by ribbon microphone specialists:

The ribbon mic sound aesthetic allow me to simultaneously capture a soft and complimentary tone, whilst keeping a lot of detail even at very quiet volumes. Their figure of 8 polar pattern allows me to capture a three dimensional sensory space sound image of live performances using the blumline array technique.

For the majority of these recordings, I have taken my location recording studio to various venues with wonderful acoustics and captured different artists performing live in the space.

Others have been captured at my home studio and I have mixed/recorded with a hybrid of analogue and digital equipment.

The music has all been recorded in the Bristol area and varies from classical, folk and jazz chamber music with acoustic instruments to singer songwriters to large bands playing rock, prog and world music.
